FACULTY : The college has highly qualified and experienced faculty members comprising of Ph.D’s & M.Phils to its credit, which thoroughly evaluates the performance of the students by guiding, counselling and helping them to cope up in the areas which they find difficult and help and enhance their performance through periodic examinations, tests.

INFRASTRUCTURE : The college maintains the highest standards by providing the students with a best possible infrastructure which includes modern labs for Physical & Life Sciences streams including a Computer Lab which boasts of more than 200 Pentium-IV Systems under Lan & Networking with Internet facilities, as well as a well stocked Library and Sports equipment to name a few.

MICROBIOLOGY LAB

SEMINARS & EDUCATIONAL TOURS : The students are taken periodically on educational tours, field trips and encouraged to explore their ideas. Seminars are regularly conducted to encourage students to express freely on matters they feel strongly related to their subjects. Guest lectures are regularly conducted by inviting eminent persons in various fields to enlighten the students about the world around them.

CAMPUS PLACEMENT : The college has its own placement cell having tie-ups with leading placement bureaus and MNC’s like GE Capital, HSBC, HCL, WIPRO, TRANSDAYNE, Deccan Chronicle, SATYAM and the ICICI. During the last two years 276 students found placements in above MNC’s which is an achievement for the cell.

COMMERCE LAB

PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT : Sessions & Mock interviews are regular features of the college curriculum to install confidence in the students and develop their communication skills.

NCC & SCOUTS : A unique NCC & Scouts wing exists in the college under the tutelage of Major S. Ansari. Each year about 100 students are selected and trained in various aspects related to environment awareness, social service and are helped in getting placements both in the central and state government departments and also help choose careers in Army, Navy and Air Force.

EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES : Apart from academics, the college encourages the students to participate in Indoor / Outdoor games. Equipments and provisions are provided to the students and regular competitions are held in the college and also the students are encouraged to participate in various Inter Collegiate events which has brought many laurels. Besides, importance is also given for the conduct of literary and cultural events in which the students have repeatedly shown their caliber.

The college was selected to take part in the first National Youth Employment Summit held in Hyderabad in December 2003 in which 44 countries participated, and out of 103 colleges which took part in the cultural activities our college bagged 1st prize which was awarded by the then Chief Minister N. Chandra Babu Naidu.

60 of our students were selected as volunteers in the Afro Asian Games 2003 held in the city and out of which 8 students were declared as best volunteers and were duly honoured by the then Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Mr. N. Chandra Babu Naidu.

About 500 boys of our college also participated in Hyderabad 10 K Run held in 2003 and 2004 which was a charity Run meant to bring awareness among the citizens for health and environment under the able leadership of then Chief Minister Mr. N. Chandra Babu Naidu and present Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Dr. Y.S. Raja Sekhar Reddy.

The State Co-operative Society had also extended an invitation for our students to participate in Essay Writing and Elocution Competitions held on the eve of completion of 100 years of State Co-operative Movement in Andhra Pradesh and the college bagged the 1st Prize.

EXAMINATION BRANCH : The Examination Branch of Shadan Degree College for Boys came into existence on 4^th February 1999, under the able guidance of Principal along with the Members of Examination Branch.  To it goes the credit of conducting the internal & external examinations successfully with full attendance every year.   

DISCIPLINARY COMMITTEE : Disciplinary Committee formed in the year 1999-2000 which regularly monitors the overall discipline of the pupils under the guidance of Principal & Members Disciplinary Committee.       

It has been a long march for the college to reach its present position of glory and this achievement has been only possible through hardwork, perseverance and collective efforts of the Management, Principal, Staff & Students. The college has been instrumental in bringing out the inherent talent of the students. The college encourages a healthy, secular, competitive spirit which would go a long way in making the student a practical individual capable of contributing to a just and liberal society.

PHYSICAL FITNESS/GYM: “SOUND MIND IN A SOUND BODY” as rightly said. In order to be hale & healthy one has to be physical fit. There are many ways to keep oneself physically fit like regular exercises, morning walks and Gym. Going to Gyn has now become a necessity to keep oneself fit and trim which also makes them look handsome. Our college provides well equipped GYM to cater to the needs of the present day youth.

SPORTS CLUB: To unwind yourself after the hectic schedule of lectures the college provides a sports club which not only has indoor games but also outdoor games facilities. The college also organizes inter college cricket tournaments every year. Best of the facilities are given so that the students step out into the world as one of the best products of Shadan. Indoor games like - Table Tennis, Carroms, Chess etc. Outdoor games like - Basket Ball, Badminton, Shuttle cork etc
